By Anonymous Las Cruces, NM September 23, 2002, "Almost everyone has found a new product and said "why didn't I think of that". This is a common reaction to the MusicTote(tm) MT-1(tm)", says inventor James Carter. "Almost every kid in the country owns a portable CD player". This patent pending product converts a personal CD/MP3 player or flash memory device into a carry and share anywhere stereo sound system ($29.95). "It makes a great first stereo for the kids and a neat get away music system for Mom and Dad."
"The concept is easy", says Carter, "provide a compact attractive carry anywhere CD bag and equip it with internal amplification and external speakers. Almost anyone who loves music and owns a personal headphone player can use this product". The completely portable system weighs less than three pounds; it is powered by a single 9-volt battery or can be used with a home or auto adapter".
Carter continues, "unzip the front of the bag, place your player in one of the two pockets, plug the pigtail from the MusicTote(tm) amplifier into the headpone jack of the player and turn them both on. The MusicTote(tm) will amplify and project your players music through it's own detachable twin speakers. The speakers can be pulled away from the sides of the bag and spaced apart approximately 14 inches on either side. If you are going to travel, simply press the speakes against the bag side and rewind the speaker wire into the bag using the wire rewind on the rear. The MusicTote(tm) is equipped with a carry handle, shoulder strap, auxiliary power jack, 12 CD storage compartment and zippered storage pocket. The system is a convenient means of taking your player and CDs anywhere; office, gym, beach, park or traveling in the car." "It's a great entertainment device for moms and kids, or anyone just getting away from it all, take your favorite tunes to the patio and unwind" says Carter.
The MusicTote(tm) is available at www.musictote.com and will be offered on www.timelife.com and www.amazon.com by the third week of September. A product review by Marc Lemay of Imass radio is posted at www.imassradio.com. For details and order information contact Mary Carter Director of Marketing at 505-527-0018 or e-mail to ccp@zianet.com.

New Xtreme 6000 from Anchor Audio – The Next Advancement in Portable Sound Systems Provides UHF Wireless for Maximum Flexibility - Up to Six Wireless Microphones Can Operate on a Single Xtreme System
Fully portable sound system reaches audiences up to 5,000 indoors or out, optional built-in CD or cassette tape player, 16 channel UHF wireless guarantees crystal clear speaking voice without interference - GSA# GS-35F-0075L
TORRANCE, CALIF. – Anchor Audio, Inc. – the industry leader for over 25 years in portable sound systems – announces its new Xtreme 6000, the first portable sound system which is flexible enough to support up to six UHF wireless microphones. The Xtreme 6000 (GSA# GS-35F-0075L) delivers full range music and intelligible speech from one, self-contained portable sound system that is designed for users with no technical knowledge. Xtreme 6000 is designed for change of command ceremonies, presentations in an auditorium, field training exercises, emergency crowd control, or even firing range instruction.
Until now, UHF wireless has been available only at high-end prices for entertainment industry users. However, Anchor Audio is breaking new ground by offering the 16 channel UHF wireless at the same price as the single channel VHF. Because the UHF is selectable, a simple flip of a dial on the microphone and receiver eliminates any chance of interference from local broadcasting sources.
Maximum flexibility is achieved because the system features modular design. The basic unit includes one built-in wireless receiver and, if the customer later decides to add one or two additional wireless microphones, they can order modules and slip them into option slots built into the base unit. Up to three additional external wireless receivers can be plugged into the Xtreme system, which combined with the three installed receivers, allows up to six wireless microphones to be used simultaneously.
With the optional built-in CD or cassette tape player, customers can add rich, full range music to the Xtreme sound system. Special anti-shock mounting ensures the CD will not skip, even if the system is at full power - pumping out 123 decibels of sound. The built-in CD or tape player can be coupled with one built-in wireless receiver. Anchor sound systems move between music and speech modes at the flip of a switch on the back panel. The “speech projection” mode provides an added punch to the human voice to avoid that garbled, drowning sound so common in lesser quality sound systems.
A matching companion speaker can be connected to the Xtreme to double its output. This feature is used to reach audiences up to 5,000 in large capacity venues such as stadiums or conference centers. The cost of the companion speaker is a fraction of the cost of the base Xtreme unit, thus allowing for a doubling of output without doubling the cost.
Anchor Audio manufactures its products in Torrance, California, using a total quality concept, which includes 6 quality control tests. Products are backed by a six year warranty, the longest in the industry. Anchor’s dedication to quality by using only the best components such as ABS plastic for all enclosures and speakers built in-house to exacting specifications, has resulted in substantial military, White House, FBI, and police department sales.
All of Anchor’s products are fully portable, pack up easily, are stackable for storage, and can be housed in Pelican hard shell cases available with custom foam to ensure a snug fit.
